Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi

Mrs Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi, wife of the Executive Governor of Enugu State.
She is a startling beauty and a graceful woman. An impression I took away with me when I led my association, Road Safety Officers Wives Association (ROSOWA) on a congratulatory cum courtesy visit to her office on October 2015 few months after her husband assumed office as the executive Governor of the State.
She is her Excellency, the exquisite ever Skilling Wife of Gburugburu Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Charismatic and charming Governor of Enugu State.
Mrs Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi according to Sundiata posts is said to have plans to launch a pet project which would focus on health and the well-being of women and the girl child. The idea was conceived out the experience of seeing woman diagnosed with life threatening and preventive ailments.
However, Mrs Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi has a foundation, UGO’S TOUCH OF LIFE FOUNDATION (U-TOLF) that awards Scholarship to indigent pupils and provides school items free to the pupils. The Foundation has collaborated with the Health Sector to campaign vigorously against Female Genital Mutilation considered harmful to the health.
The Foundation provides free Cancer Screening services for women, as well as free Cancer screening in Schools for students and free treatment.
Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi has donated 50 Wheel Chairs to the Physically Challenged persons through her determination to lift the Physically Challenged persons out of the Shackles of despondency. She Challenged them to activate their God given talent in order to attain greater heights and encouraged them to lift themselves out of despair, stigmatism and discrimination. She reiterated that a Lion is addressed as the King of the Jungle because of Dominion mentality therefore, they should have that mentality against begging.

Mrs Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi played host to the mother of the Nation, wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari and the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osibanjo on November 5th 2015 at the Health Screening Initiative For Rural Women which was flagged off at Queen’s College, Enugu and taken to the 17 Local Government Areas of the State. It was a huge occassion and the crowd was mammonth. I was privileged to access some of the free screening exercise readily available.
She has also been on Community Sensitization Programme on behalf of Mrs Aisha Buhari who decried the high immortality rate, urging Women to be health conscious and to seek immediate medical help in other to save their lives and their babies.
