FRSC CAUTIONS DRIVERS AGAINST HAZARDS OF RAINY SEASON.

Motorists are advised to be cautious during these heavy continual rainstorm witnessed in most parts of the country. Because of the general drizzling effects of rainfall, the Corps recommends that motorists should apply the simple common sense speed limits rules.

According to Bisi Kazeem the CPEO of the Corps, in a press release, visibility is usually low this period accompanied by foggy weather. The Corps Marshal expresses concern at the rate drivers disregard the basic ethics of driving during the rainy season, which leads to avoidable crashes, death and fatal injuries.

The Corps advices motorists to ensure their vehicles are in good condition especially the braking system and wipers. The Corps recommends vehicles to have new tyres this season in order to have firm grip on the road and tractions to avoid crashes.

The Corps warns motorists against traffic disobedience and disclosed that special squads of the Corps have been deployed to monitor compliance and bring violators to book.
