We should be indeed be mindful of who we leave our children with. Our children are not safe in the hands of child molesters. Most times, we reckon that boys are safe when we leave them with young male adults but it is not always the case. There are so many young adults’ bobs who are in the closet. These ones portend grave danger to the boys. It is shocking and distressful at the rate children are molested; we are quick to shield the girls forgetting the boys are at risk too.

Scumbags are sometimes those neigbours we least suspect, that uncle who plays with children, that teacher, or even young boys who have suffered sexual abuses and are channeling their rage through that same medium to inflict pain on others.

I watched a program on television of a man who went on a killing spree, robbing and creating destruction on his path. The social welfare officer sexually abused him as a little child. Subsequently, he suffered sexual abuses from those who should have shielded him.

He became psychopathic; a raging volcano that erupted and had to consume anything on its path for his fury to be appeased. He was a walking disaster devoid of empathy. What ran through his blood was rage and pure evil. He needed to lash out at people when rage gripped his soul because he could not define himself. His sexuality confused and frustrated him. He killed, robbed and did stuff even the devil would cringe at. His life was not only ruined, he ruined everything that crossed his path as a conciliation.

He went down eventually but not until he took so many lives and left rubbles and destructions behind.

So please parents, let us be extra careful with those we leave our children with, neither male nor female child is safe with child molesters. Be informed!
