PICTURE EVENTS OF THE ROYAL WEDDING OF OF PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN

History was made when 36 years old biracial Meghan Markle became the duchess of Sussex. She looked glamorous exquisite in her wedding gown as she was led down the isles by Prince Charles, the grooms father. Her own Father a caucausian was unavoidably absent after undergoing a surgery, stayed away due to his doctor’s advice that he was not fit to take the trip.

Nevertheless, her very visibly beaming with joy and proud mother Doria Ragland 61 was the only one present from Meghan’s side of the family. Also present were the family members of the late Princess of wales, princess Diana. The wedding was an infusion of the old and modern world. Protocol was suspended as guests included not only the royals but also people from diverse country and race.

According to history, Meghan would not be the first Biracial to be married into the Royal family. Princess Sophia Charlotte of Mecklenburg-strelitz who married Prince of Wales who later became King George 111 was the first. Charlotte was direct descendant of the black branch of Portuguese Royal family Alfonso 111 and his concubine Ouruana, a black Moorish.

She was born on May 19 1744 as the youngest daughter of Duke Carl Ludwig Fredrick of Mecklenburg-strelitz and Princess Elizabeth Albertine of Saxe Hildburghausen, of Germany.

Charlotte was described as very beautiful, very sensible and remarkably genteel. She was small but fine shape, graceful carriage, auburn, and sweet.

Charlotte and King George had 15 Children. She died in 1818 and was buried at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Among the invited guests were Oprah Winfrey, Victoria and Richard Beckham, Serena Williams and husband, Elton John and Idris Alba.

While prince Harry, 34 was never married Meghan an American actress was once married.

The wedding had a black preacher Micheal Curry, as well as all black choir  that rendered the ever green song “Stand by me.”

Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
