OONI OF IFE ON 10 DAY VISIT TO BRAZIL
Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II is on historical visit to Brazil. This is to strengthen cultural ties between blacks and Yoruba race using cultural heritage to harness economic partnership beneficial to both. The aim of the tour is to highlight tourism as a potential in Nigeria to attract Brazilians to the country under the diaspora programmer.
As a spiritual father of the Yoruba race globally, he is saddled with the responsibility of uniting Yorubas estimated at 500m in over 80 countries.
Ooni would declare Salvador de Bahia the spiritual capital of Yorubas in America. This is because an estimated 13m mostly from Yoruba race were taken to Brazil via Bahia. 80m Brazilians claim their ancestral roots to Ile Ife and have kept the heritage intact.
