Two male adults traveling in a Toyota Venza involved in a road accident along Ife-Ondo road, Osun State have been recovered from a river in Eti-Oni community. The PUNCH report written by Bola Bamigbola, revealed that the spokesperson for Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Osun State Sector Command, Agnes Ogungbemi said the incident occurred last Wednesday when the vehicle plunged into a river. She said local Divers eventually located the vehicle and the occupants of the vehicle were pulled out dead. The FRSC officer said the accident must have been caused by over speeding.

The relations of the victims were present at the scene where Local divers located the final resting place of the vehicle and a Hiab towing truck was used to pull out the vehicle from the river. The corpses were buried by the riverside according to the tradition of the community while the retrieved crashed vehicle was handed over to the police.

The Osun State Commander, Corps Commander Henry Benamaisia warned motorists against disregarding traffic rules.
