LASU STUDENT AFFAIRS DEAN OUSTED OVER CERTIFICATE RACKECTEERING ALLEGATIONS

Professor Tajudeen Olumoko, the Dean of Student Affairs of Lagos State University has been ousted due to an alleged racketeering that has been going on in the University. Report claimed that a certificate racketeering syndicate sold authentic Lagos State University Certificates from 2million to 3million naira to any interested parties depending on the intricacy of the course in question.

Vanguard reports that an anonymous source confirmed that and said another senior lecturer in the department of Political Science, Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan replaces him as the new Dean of students affairs. The source claims that an official statement would be issued to that effect soon.

Mr. Tolani Akibu of the Lagos State Commissioner for education for Tertiary Education and the Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU) Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the senate of the Institution and oter top staff on Tuesday over exhirtion and certificate racketeering allegations leveled ahaisnt the school. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, speaker of the house and an allunimus of the institution asked that the concerned parties should be invited for fact findings for the sake of the reputation of the institution and the culprit be sanctioned. Also moving the motion under the matter of urgent public importance is Hon. Owolabi Ajani.
