Ekaterina Shabanova is a Russian skit maker who came to Nigeria, loved Nigeria and decided to stay. She shared her experiences when she migrated to Nigeria to start creating skits. According to NAIJATWEET who quoted the PUNCH NEWSPAPER, Shabanova holds two University degrees in Ecology and Economics. She was quoted to say that when she decided to come to Nigeria, her mom was really apprehensive because she felt that the country wasn’t safe but allowed her to follow her dream because she was an adult and accepted her choice. She came to Nigeria in 2018. She was surprised at what she met. There were cultural and environmental differences, however, she decided to do skits. Initially she didn’t know how to go about it but decided to make a skit as a Tricycle driver and was surprised that the video went viral on tik tok. She claimed that driving the tricycle was easy because she was a Taxi driver in Russia and understands the hussles. She goes back to Russia because she misses her country but she stays longer in Nigeria where she is getting popular by the day through her skits. She loves Nigerian food and loves how Nigerians respect elderly people.
