Daredevil gunmen stormed a Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) parish in Abule-Ori, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The gunmen killed the Pastor and abducted seven members of the Church. The Commander of the Ogun State So-Safe Corps, Mr. Soji Ganzallo confirmed this incident to newsmen in Abeokuta on Sunday.  The Commander however explained that the seven church members were rescued but unfortunately, the Pastor was killed by the kidnappers. The statement released by the So-Safe director for information, the incident took place around 2am on Saturday.

The Owode-Egba Zonal Command of the Corps Mr. Jimoh Omoniyi received a distress call that some members of RCCG, desires of Nations Parish, Ogun Province 22, Abule-Ori were attacked during a vigil.

The Officers were charged to go after the suspects to rescue the victims immediately. Seven victims were rescued unhurt while one of the Kidnappers was killed and many of the suspects sustained serious injury during the fire exchange. The joint team of So-Safe Corps and the Police are already after the fleeing kidnappers to capture them alive. The body of the dead kidnapper had been deposited in a nearby morgue.
