Nkechinyere Umeh the highest scorer in the recent JAMB UTME is from a family of four children. 16 years old Nkechinyere is a student of Deeper Life High School, Mowe Ogun State. She scored 360 out of 400. Saharareporters revealed that her father Uzonna Umeh recalled when a School refused to admit her into Junior Secondary School because they did not have connection. He revealed that he knows his daughter is very brilliant right from Primary School where she was always among the top Three in class. Nkechinyere left Primary school in Primary Five. When he took her to a Federal School for and she was denied admission and were told except they got somebody up there before she could be admitted. He then took her to her present School, a decision he never regretted.

He said that her siblings also got admitted to that school. He said the fees are very moderate and the students are treated well. They are fed even up five times a day. After the result came out he received a call from JAMB registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede who told him that the Nigeria Society of Women Engineers were asking for his daughter’s bio data for an award. Because of her feat in the examination, the Society of women Engineers have contacted her and offered a scholarship to study at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
