The daily post reports that 14 people including a four-month baby died on Sunday morning in an auto accident along the Lagos- Badagry Expressway. Lagos State.

Badagry Unit Command of Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the incident through the Unit Commander ACC Williams Manga to NAN that 9 others sustained injuries.

The Unit Commander said the accident occurred at the Agemowo axis of the road around 7.31 am when the commercial bus carrying 19 passengers had a head on collision with a granite truck coming from Badagry. He said rescue operation commenced immediately the officers of the Corps got to the scene. The injured were taken to General Hospital while the dead were deposited at the Mortuary of the hospital. out of the 14 casualties, he said 8 were males, 5 were females and one was an infant of 4 months old. The cause of the accident was due to over speeding during heavy downpour.
