RIVERS GOVERNMENT SACKS 1700 VARSITY STAFF

Rivers Government sacks 1700 varsity staff and demands for ID cards and appointment letters, the government has explained that they were sacked due to irregularities in the employment process. The staff were recruited during the last lap of the former administration Ntsesom Wike to work in the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni. Two months into the administration, the state Governor Siminialaye Fubara announced the cancellation of the employment. A statement signed by the Commissioner of education, Prof. Prince Chinedu Mmom on the 13 the of July said the employment exercise had many irregularities and did not meet the standard set by the Government ordering that the exercise stands invalid. He said that a credible exercise would be carried out.
