OGUN MONARCH CRUSHED TO DEATH BY TRUCK

Oba Abraham Bankole, the traditional ruler of Onibuku in Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State has been crushed to death by a liquor-laden truck on Tuesday. The incident occurred when a moving truck with Registration number EPE 252 XF belonging to Rocket Jinja crushed him to death at Idi-iroko expressway close to winners Chapel, Sango-Ota. The tricycle was hit by the truck from behind and while the Monarch was alighting from the tricycle, fell and died instantly after the truck crushed him while trying to escape.

The spokesperson of the Traffic Compliance and Endorsement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the incident but did not confirm the identity of the dead. The body had been deposited at the General Hospital Morgue while the truck had been moved out the road by the Police.
