CORPS MARSHAL ON WORKING VISITS TO BORNO

The Corps marshal of Federal Road Safety Corps Dauda Ali Biu is on a working visit to Maiduguri. Biu said ‘we are in Borno for a couple of days to assess and see how our operatives are faring. There are several issues and challenges around here and we need to boost their morale. We also intend to sit down with stakeholders, especially the road transport unions. We also intend to see the state Governor to thank him on behalf of the entire management of FRSC because he has done a lot in supporting us. The Government of Borno made our stay very comfortable in the state; our men are feeling safe based on some measures taken by Governor Babagana Zulum’’ Biu said.

Daily post reports that Biu also spoke on overspeeding, particularly by some commercial bus (Hummer) drivers. He said the need for speed limit device to regulate them has become necessary. He lamented the practice of conveying animals and humans by truck drivers, and the drivers conveying livestock from Northern part of the country to the South has endangered many lives when accidents occur.

The Corps Marshal and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Borno and also visited the FRSC Sector Command RS12.2.
