CAPTAIN KILLED BY FEMALE SOLDIER

 

A female soldier has killed a senior colleague at a checkpoint in Yola, Adamawa state. The daily post reports that the female soldier was enforcing the curfew imposed by the State Government after hoodlums broke into a government warehouse. The Hoodlums looted items meant as palliative to mitigate the effects of removal of fuel subsidy. The Captain was shot by the soldier who attempted to intervene in her altercation with civilians. The female soldier had insisted that motorists including workers on essential duties turned back during the curfew hours. The people had stopped at the checkpoint to explain that they were workers on essential duties, the captain came forward to intervene but she had already cocked her gun and she fired, accidentally killing him. He was confirmed dear at the Federal Medical Centre, Yola, while the female soldier was promptly arrested and whisked away by soldiers.

The Incident took place at Fire Service Roundabout in Yola.
