The Edo state Police Command has confirmed the arrest of an 84-year-old man Gabriel Uhuwa for allegedly killing his 75-year-old wife for refusing him sex. The man has been having issues with his wife over her alleged refusal to be intimate with him. The octogenarian was said not to be remorseful and felt he has done what was best to do. Punch newspaper reports that the Octogenarian revealed to journalist that his wife was not listening to him and always declined intimacy with him. He said he had reported to his children and one of his daughters had intervened but his wife still refused. He had also reported to his and her family members but she still refused. He said he heard that pastors were sleeping with her.

He said that following his complaint, his children stopped sending money to him because she poisoned their minds against him. He decided to end it by killing her with a cutlass on Saturday afternoon.

The Octogenarian however regretted his wife after committing the crime. The couple have seven children. Five boys and two girls.
