Nigerian Tribune reports that Aba was news agog with the death of an evangelist and mother of five in a hotel room with her church overseer. News have it that the evangelist’s husband works outside the state in Bayelsa is a native of Umuatakawom in Obingwa.

The incident happened around 11pm on Saturday August 12, 2023. It was reported that the Bishop looked disturbed when he went to the hotel front desk telling those on the night shift that he was going to buy food at that time of the night. The hostel staff promptly reported the observation to the manager who went to the room to know what happened, but found the lifeless naked body of the evangelist on the hotel bed foaming in the mouth and nose. The Manager of the hotel reported the incident to the eastern Ngwa Police station in Obingwa Local Government Area.

When her mobile phone was accessed, it was discovered that she had a romantic relationship for quite some time. She had told her children that she was going for a ‘tarry Night’’ church service that would have ended at about 12.30am the next Sunday.

The Clergyman, Mr. Timothy Otu was arrested in his church Agape Evangelical Ministry, Obikabia Junction, Obingwa LGA for the death of Happiness Echieze 43 whom he lodged at the hotel with when the incident happened.
