Vanguard reports that residents of Hallelujah Estate in Oshogbo were in agony on Wednesday when two dogs devoured a five year old. The dogs also descended on the mother, injuring her in her buttocks after killing the child.

It was gathered that the woman and her little girl were walking pass a completed vacant building in the area when the two dogs emerged and separated mother and daughter. The dogs devoured the child while the mother struggled in vain to rescue her. The dogs then descended on the mother but was rescued by neighbours from the bloodthirsty dogs after biting her severally on her buttocks. The dogs were said to be in the building alone for long time and the gory incident happened because residents are not majorly around and it was almost difficult to hear anyone calling for help. The dogs appeared as if they were on a mission to kill the mother after they killed the daughter but for the intervention of passersby who quickly ran to call for help. Unfortunately, that help didn’t come on time for the little girl.

The State Police command spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola said that the police is aware of the incident and effort is going on to arrest the owner of the house.
