FRSC BLAMES SPEEDING OVER LAGOS-IBADAN ROAD CRASH THAT KILLS FIVE

A total of 21 persons were involved in a multiple road crash with twelve injured and five people dead in an early morning crash on Sunday around four square camp, Ajebo along Lagos- Ibadan expressway. The accident happened when a DAF truck with registration Number KMC -810Zb lost control after having a burst tyre and occupied the road while a Toyota bus with registration Number TMA 244XA and another Mitsubishi pick-up vehicle without registration number ran into the truck.

The FRSC spokesperson of the Ogun Sector Command, Florence Okpe in her statement said that the suspected causes of the crash were speed, tyre bust and loss of control on the part of the truck driver whose vehicle crashed and occupied the road and others were running into the crashed vehicle. She further revealed that the injured victims have been taken to the Victory hospital Ogere for medical attention while the copses were deposited at FOS Morgue, Ipara Remo.
