SPEECH BY MALAM UBA SANI THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KADUNA STATE AT THE COMMISSIONING OF THE NEW FRSC COMPLEX ON 30 NOVEMBER 2023

PROTOCOL

I am delighted to be with you at the very important moment of the commissioning of the FRSC new office complex in Kaduna State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps has maintained its presence in Kaduna State with its operations in rescue services, patrol operations and obstruction clearance through bold and deliberate initiatives that have yielded positive results and impact on the lives and properties of Kaduna residents.
Furthermore, the Kaduna State Government through the establishment of the State Road Safety Advisory Council (SaRSAC) which is in line with the Nigerian Road Safety Strategy ll in order to assist in bringing sanity on our roads within the state will continue to work with FRSC in charting paths that will ensure sustainability to the UN decade of action on eradication of Road Traffic Crashes.
Additionally, the state Government has established five computerized vehicles testing centres as part of its effort in ensuring safer vehicles that comply with all safety standards in the state. We are also collaborating with Kaduna State House Assembly in making relevant laws that will tackle issues of traffic violation and rickety vehicles in the state.
Moreover, the previous government has done remarkably in infrastructural development in the state through Kaduna State Urban Renewal Project as a deliberate effort to improve on the state’s road network, reduce the probability of crashes and preserve human lives and properties.
The Kaduna State Government is poised to continue to enhance the operations of FRSC in Kaduna through supporting mechanisms that will aid the overall functionality and ensure that FRSC achieve its corporate objectives.
I implore you to always adhere to all safety standards and guidelines on road usages.
In conclusion, I congratulate the Corps Marshal of FRSC, Dauda Ali Biu, FCNA, CPA, NPoM and indeed all FRSC staff in the state on this special occasion, Kaduna State Government will give all necessary support to ensure a seamless transition from the old office to the new.
