PUNCH  reports that veteran actor Dejumo Lewis of the famed village headmaster drama has died at 80. It was reported that Saidi Balogun a Nollywood actor confirmed this on his instagram account on Saturday. He shared the photo of the late veteran with the caption ‘’Goodnight DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in peace. RIP’’

Specific details of the death was disclosed but the tribute has ignited an outpouring of condolences from fans and other professional colleagues.

 Village headmaster star was famous for his iconic role as Kabiyesi role, the soap opera that was aired for twenty years by the Nigerian television station. He was also in many series amongst which are A PLACE IN THE STARS 2014, POWER OF 1, 2018 and CROSSROADS 2020.

Dejumo Lewis was born in Lagos in 1943 and was a prolific figure in media industry. May God rest his soul.
