The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA imported skunk consignment in Lekki, Lagos. The agency intercepted the two consignments of loud, a strong strain of cannabis along the Epe-Lekki corridor and at Alfa beech, Lekki, Lagos. After a tip off the NDLEA operatives laid ambush for a white truck conveying 50 jumbo packs of the illicit drugs at the early hours of Monday on 19th June 2023. it was reported that the truck driver jumped out of the vehicle and escaped in a security hilux van escorting the truck after the anti narcotics officers successfully demobilized the truck loaded with the substance.

similarly officers of Marine Command on Tuesday 20th Jube 2023 acting on tip off intercepted a boat loaded with the same imported substance weighing 2.910kg around Alfa beach which arrived from Ghana. Two Ghanaians, Monday Saba 30 years old and 27 year old Hakeem Kwana were found with the consignments and were promptly apprehended.

In Niger State, two suspects Abubakar Mohammed 32, and Nuhu Sule 43 were arrested on the 18th of June 2023 along Abuja Expressway with 31 Jumbo bags of Skunk which weighed 517kg while Amina Aliu who is 30 years old was apprehended 171kg of substances on Wednesday 21st June at at Ogboogodo village Dekina LGA, Kogi State.

The Agency also arrested a fake female security agent, Ogedegbe Dorcas 34 at Ajegunle Asa Dam area of Ilorin , Kwara state.

The Agency also recovers 8334.2kg of same substance from two ladies, others and destroys 2.5 hectares of cannabis farm in Edo.
