The LeadershipNews reported that the first Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Chief Mobolaji Ajose Adeogun has passed on at the age of 96. Oluremi Ajose-Adeogun, a member of the family confirmed that Chief Ajose Adeogun died on Saturday July 1 2023. He was an accomplished oil and gas professional, precisely Shell Petroleum Development Company where he had a distinguished career. He went to become the Federal Commissioner for Cooperatives and Supply and thereafter, Commissioner for special duties at the Federal Capital Development Authourity. His huge impact in the real Estate sector in Nigeria made him the first Minister of FCT being the brains behind the original master plan of FCT.

He is survived by Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
