POLICE ACADEMY OPENS PORTAL FOR ADMISSION

The Nigeria Police Academy has opened an online portal for applications for its 10th regular course cadet degree programme by interested and qualified candidates. Daily post reports that the Police Force public relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja. He said that the online registration process would run for a period of six months from July 24 to Sept 3.

Applicants must be of Nigerian Origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIM) with a jamb result, a score not less than 180. Candidates must select Police Academy Wudil as their first choice in their jamb form. Applicants must possess six credits at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent with credits in English and Mathematics. Applicants must be between 17 and 21 years by October 31 and be medically, physically and psychological fit. Applicants must be 1.67 for males and 1.64 for females not less than 86cm (34inches) expanded chest measurement. Applicants must not be married, pregnant, must have a valid email address and phone number. Any SSCE result before 2019 will not be accepted.

The academy would avail male and female of good character the opportunity of serving the nation. Method of application is virtual and interested candidates who meet the criteria should visit the academy website https://www.polac.edu.ng and generate Remita Retrieval Reference code.

Successful candidates would participate in a computer –based test CBT, a subsequent automated medical screening exercise and automated interview/selection exercise for final selection of candidates. Successful candidates would undergo a five-year academic and police training that would lead to the award of Bachelors’ degree and commissioning into the Nigerian Police force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II. The Spokesperson said that the current IGP Kayode Egbetokun had pledged transparency and accountability in the process.
