4 PERSONS DIE AND 11 INJURED IN LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY

Four persons were confirmed dead and 11 others sustained various degrees of injuries in a lone accident involving a fonton bus at Aiyetoro on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Spokesman of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Ogun State, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the incident.

The Accident which occurred at 9.59 am due to tyre burst leading to the car summersaulting into a ditch. The 15 passengers of the vehicle were 12 women and 3 males. 11 women were injured while 3 men and 1 woman died in the accident. The vehicle with registration Number AGL 989 YA was on its way to Lagos from Ibadan when the incident occurred. The dead have been deposited at Idera morgue, Sagamu while the injured were taken to Famobis Hospital Mowe.

He appealed to Motorists to avoid excessive speed, tokunbo tyres and adhere to traffic rules and regulations.
