HEATHER MENZIES AS LOUISA VON TRAPP IN THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Heather Menzies Urich was born as Heather Margaret Brotherston Menzies in Toronto, Ontario Canada on December 3, 1949. She was second child of Scottish parents who    migrated to Canada after the war. She has two other siblings, an older brother Neil and a younger sister Sheila.

The Canadian/American actress and Model graduated from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California and went further to study at Falcon Studio’s university of Arts. She had no prior acting experience before she joined the cast of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. She got to play the role of Louisa Von Trapp who was the oldest child of Captain Von Trapp at the age of 14. She sang the song SO LONG, FAREWELL and LONELY GOATHERD in the movie.

She married John Cluett in 1969 and got divorced in 1973. Then she married Robert Urich in 1975 and have three adopted children, she was married to him until her died. Heather was a survival of ovarian cancer but she was later diagnosed of terminal brain cancer in November 2017 and succumbed to death on December 24, 2017 at the age of 68

Before her death, she had a successful career as an actress with over 35 movies include THE FARMER’S DAUGHTER, MY THREE SONS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, HAWAII.

She was estimated to be worth $18m.
