FRSC GOMBE RECORDS 31 DEATHS IN ROAD ACCIDENTS

 The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) of Adamawa State Command has revealed that 31 lives were lost to road accident while 274 persons sustained various degrees of injuries between January and July this year.

Corps Commander Yelwa Dio stated that the command recorded 126 road crashes involving 548 people. Dio revealed that excessive speeding, overloading, wrongful overtaking and use of mobile phone while driving are the major causes of accidents. He therefore advised drivers and road users to always abide by traffic rules and regulations to avoid road accident because passengers have the right to reach their destinations safely.

He urged passengers to talk to drivers on the need to obey traffic rules and regulations.
