ARMY UNVEILS RENOVATED SCHOOLS IN KANO

The chief of Army staff, Lieutenant general Taoreed lagbaja has unveiled some remodeled schools in Taruni Local Government area of kano state. The remolded schools are Governmemnt Upper Basic Secondary school, Government Girls senior Secondary School and Kundilla Nursery and primary school. Major General valentine Okoro, the General officer comanding 1 Division NA and Force Commander Operation Whirl Punch, who represented the COAS, applauded the good people of kano for their continous support to the NA and other security agencies in the face of security challenges. He said the projects demostrates the NA’s commitment tompositively impact on communities as part of its non-kenetic line of operations. He added that the projects would significantly contribute to the educational meeds of the indigenes and residents of tarauni and the good people of the state. The NA has completed 255 projects across the six geo-political zones of the country while some are still ongoing, affirming that the NA will continue to execute projects that are viable while appealing to tjhe people to take ownership of the facilities amd ensure proper maintenance.

The NA said the renovation of the schools were executed with highly standized and quality materials and modern state of the art equipment.

The renovated projects are 24 classrooms, installation of 14 soalr powered lights, provision of desks and seats, furnishing of the laboratory with modern equipment, reconstruction and furnishing of staff rooms, head teachers and principal offices, students toilets as well as replacement of roofs/ceilings/blocks and sinking of boreholes amongst others.

The Chairman of Taruani Local Government Area, Abubakar Zakari thanked the NA on behalf of the community for the purposeful and impactful projects saying only God would reward the NA for this huge honour.
