She tendered her letter before an investigation panel of the House of Representative on Wednesday. The committee invited the Jamb registrar, Prof Oloyede, Mmesoma and her parents to the sitting. Mmesoma as reported by the DAILYTRUST attended the hearing with her parents and Lawyer where she read the letter apologizing over her malfeasance. She admitted to having forged her results but said she regretted her actions.

The Jamb registrar who had earlier reeled out circumstances leading to the alleged forgery as well as measures taken by Jamb said they are presently investigating eight centres across the nation over the matter saying that some candidates who had done similar thing have been arrested and four have been remanded in custody pending their appearance in court. He informed the panel that criminal elements have been hoodwinking Nigerians to bypass JAMB system, which he said was foolproof as it was offline and cannot be accessed. He said that the examination body has put measures to safeguard its systems and was collaborating with security agencies to always fish them out and curb their attempts.

It would be recalled that the House of Reps had constituted an Ad-hoc committee led by Sada Soli Jibia (APC Katsina) to investigate the Issue after a motion on the matter was moved by Awaji-Inombek Abiante (PDP) Bayelsa.
