A man who brutally murdered his wife under unknown circumstances has confessed to the Edo State Police where he is currently being interrogated. The man’s wife Mrs. Semilat Uwaya was found lifeless in the morning with her nipples and body parts missing. This incident took place in Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government of the State. The couple got married on 17 July 2021.

The husband who emerged the prime suspect after investigation confessed that he was enticed by his friends to kill his wife and mutilate her by cutting off her nipples and breasts for money rituals and his wife cried and died in pains as he used a razor blade to commit the crime. He expressed regret at the heinous crime. Her death had sparked significant reactions and her family are saddened by this gruesome death.

Her body has been taken to the mortuary for further investigation by the police.
